I used to love these books when I was a teenager and only just recently discovered they have begun to release new titles 10 years after Penguin pulled the plug on the old series. In 2002 Wizard Books bought the rights to the Fighting Fantasy series of books from Penguin and began releasing reprints of selected titles from the orfiginal series.

In 2005 they release the first new story called 'Eye of the Dragon' which was written by Ian Livingstone. Since then they have release two more new stories called 'Bloodbone' and 'Howl of the Werewolf'. Bloodbone was completed in 1995 and was intended to be book No. 60 but Penguin cancelled the series before it could be published. 'Howl of the Werewolf' was also created in '95 although it was only a basic outline of what the story was going to be and was probably going to be book No. 61.

Hope there are others here who want to revisit that segment of their childhood. I was so dissapointed when the last series stopped!

Unrelated, but the topic made me think of it.

Anyone else read Wheel of Time / Robert Jordan? It really bums me out that he died before the series was finished.

And yeah, I'm aware of the mixed opinions on WOT and the direction it was going....still bums me out.
