When I try to play my UK PAL copies of Chaotix and Space Harrier, I can only get by the region lock by switching the (PAL) MD to 50Hz mode. If I then switch to 60Hz, the screen either rolls or doesn't update at all until I switch back.
Where is the incompatability, and can it be fixed? As I understand it, the carts only check the MD's region, so it would *have* to be set at 50Hz on boot. Does the 32X take it's timing from the connected MD, or is it inbulit, i.e. would a US 32X display correctly at 60Hz after switching from 50Hz, or would it object to switching 'on-the-fly' as much as my UK one does?
