Question to those translating saturn games

I was just wondering what programs you use to translate the games so could you please list down anything that you use.

Yeah, you'll basically want some sort of hex editor(obviously hex workshop and ultraedit are the most popular), a way of testing your hacks(cdmage if you want to test on an emulator, or you could just get an Action Replay+Commlink card and patch the files in memory on a real saturn), and of course a good compiler for any tools you write for yourself(and trust me, you -will- be writing tools).

Though one thing d didn't mention was that you should also have a good disassembler on hand(especially if you need to do any VWF routines, etc.). IDA pro seems to be the tool of choice, but it also costs like $800 unless you happen to get it from somewhere other than datarescue.

There's probably other tools you might find useful, but it all depends on what you want and need to do.
