Sega Saturn boots directly to Sega Saturn Logo

Greetings fellow Saturn owners.I wish you happy new year!

I have a pal model 2 sega saturn since my entire childhood.

A friend of mine in July gave me as a gift a Fenrir Clone, so I installed it start living the dream again.

I play some games until Christmas, after that I leave as it was because I had a lot of work.

Yesterday I wanted to play some Virtua Cop so I boot the console but it did a really strange thing.

It boots on the sega saturn logo without the whole animation thing and then goes into the main Saturn game.

At first I thought that maybe the lead does not make a good contact with the lead sensor so I open the console and it did still the same as I hold the sensor and also tape it.

After that I take off the Fenrir Clone and leave the console without drive too (boots directly at the Sega Saturn logo without the starting animation).

I would like to mention that if turn off the console and turn it on, sometimes the whole boot animation appear normal and I can play games again without any problem.

But its totally random.

Anyone had the same issue, or knows what it could be wrong?

Thank you in advance

I believe this might be a cold solder joint on one of the vram chips. If any of your games start displaying only 1 layer of graphics (one example is the enemies in Virtua Cop not appearing, but everything else shows up), then then the vram is likely the issue. Reflow of those chips should solve the problem.
