If memory serves me right there is no difference whatsoever with the game. It's the exact same game. All the special edition add was a music CD with 80s tracks on there. I don't think it's worth owning the SE just for the music CD, but I'm not the hardcore collector.

Yeah I'm looking over old news archives and that's all they state as the difference is the music cd.

you want the music cd? 5 cents , lol.. i wish i lkived in japan where their special edition, means getting cloth shenmue bedsheets, t-shirts, baseball hats, a story book and a live standup ryo hazuki action figure.. lucky easterners
