so i bought a hisaturn

i finally got my hitachi saturn today from japan i was wondering did they have cdr protection on these mine can read cdrs so i was wondering if its been modded or if theres no protection? i might just open it up but figured id ask here first cuz im lazy 😛

EDIT! i opened it up and bam its modded and what a mod it is

anyone seen one like this it is 1 wire and the modchip it sitting on some foam not secured just kinda sitting on the top of the metal shielding it has 4 places on the chip to insert ribbion cables which i find interresting as you can see in the photo it has one to the cdboard and one to the mainboard looks like i got a pretty good deal 😱wned

I have a Hi-Saturn as well, but mine is not modded. Did yours come with the Karaoke setup (base + mic + Hitachi VCD card)? Mine did. 🙂

mine doesnt have the base and mic but it does have the hitachi vcd card he included a vcd just to show the card was working looks pretty good

Seems to be a 20/21 pin modboard it's different from Robwebb's modboard. How much did you pay for the Saturn? The Hi-Saturn is my favorite Saturn model after the gray model. The Euro and US versions would be awesome as well if they didn't change the font.

i paid 55 for the saturn with the vcd card 1 controller hookups 3 cheap games

f1 live

and 3 cdr games and a vcd to show that card does work incase i didnt have one i had to pay 55 for ems shipping though so 110 but im happy with it 🙂
