Wal-Mart Online's PCs

Wal-Mart Online is selling computers preloaded with LindowsOS instead of them being without OS or with windows. A big step forward for the open source community if you ask me. To think that LindowsOS has the simplicity of windows with the stablity of unix, finally someone other then apple is bringing a better OS to the mainstream.

Lindows definitely sounds interesting. If/when I get a new computer, I think I'll try installing it instead of Windows. The thing that's kept me away from most alternative operating systems was that programs that have almost become standards that are only available for Windows and most other ports, if they even appear, come much later than the Windows release.
