What games have you bought lately?

I've been sticking with second hand games

Star Wars : Rogue Squadron 3D

Shining the Holy Ark

Oh yeah, I finally finished paying for the Sonic the Fighters PCB too.

Phantasy Star Online and Winning Eleven 6 for Gamecube, with the Freeloader for WE6.

I really need to curb my spending so I've not been going too crazy. I'll get Metroid Prime and the GBA SP when they're out here (maybe I could stretch to Resident Evil 0

), then no more buying for a good while

. I do have a stack of stuff to play through, so it's not too bad.

Can the Instant Internet Girlfriend be considered a game?

Bought 'Zone of Enders 2' today (Don't like it much though, will probably sell it on ebay). Other then that I pre-orderd 'Zelda: The Wind Waker', and bought Xenosaga about 3 weeks ago.

BTW, you keep calling it Yugetai, it's Keio YUGEKITAI... sorry... I can't help being an anal-retentive must-correct-everybody

As for me.. Haven't really bought any games lately. Well, there's Wild Metal for the Dreamcast, and -- I finally gave in and paid $50 for Zusar Vasar from wolfgames.com, more than it's really worth to me but the game's impossible to find anywhere else... rarer than chicken poop on the moon.

And then there's the fabled DC Coders Cable I got from play-asia.com ... yes, the one with which you can rip original GD-ROMs (don't ban me for mentioning it pls)

but officially, of course, it's really for development, free software/games, transferring VMU data, and all the fun stuff I'll be doing with it. Wee.

What's the MOST money any of you has spent on an original game, I wonder? I should probably say Radiant Silvergun but I resold my copy since I needed the money - so the priciest game I bought (and am keeping) is Stellar Assault SS for the Saturn. Quite a fun one, too, excellent graphics.

I've recently gotten back into the SNES game. I bought a used snes, Super Castlevania IV, Super Punch Out!, Super R-Type (I should have read up before getting this one, though I've order R-Type III - an excellent shmup nonetheless though). Also, at my local Gamers, I hit a jackpot of sorts. They had a used Turbo Grafx-16 with a cd-addon for about a hundred bucks. Needless to say I got it. It's a sweet little system. It's not a duo, but its kewl...

BTW... I saw something they had that looked like a Duo but the guy said it was a CD-I. Do CD-Is look like Duos?? I think I should head over there again and confirm it myself....these guys that work there aren't the smartest, but they're nice and not as antagonistic as Gamestop.

Today I bought Independance War 2 for £5 from GAME as I'm waiting for Freelancer and I've been told this should fill the gap

Last week bought 8 2nd hand Saturn games for £10

Thunderhawk 2

Wipeout 2097

Virtua Fighter Remix

Hang On GP

Legend Of Oasis

Mortal Kombat Trilogy

Gun Griffon

House of the Dead

Xmen - COTA

Die Hard Trilogy

Only played Wipeout 2097 so far but can't wait to get into Legend of Oasis as I thought the original Story of Thor on the Megadrive was excellent, but currently engrossed in Dragon Force so it may be a week or two before I get round to it

Although I didn't buy them, my girlfriend bought me Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy III for a total of about £100 last Christmas, god bless her :cheers .

The most money I've spent on one orginal game was Virtua Racing for the Megadrive, when it was released I scooped it up on the first day and it set me back £80 but was worth every penny, honestly

Just a bit of warning: Freelancer isn't your typical space flight sim. In fact, it's a lot like Diablo in space with a bit of Morrowind/Elite freedom. It's a fun game, but more action-oriented. Even with mouse-flight they could have opted for a more simulation feel, but a simulation it ain't. I'm pretty sure you've read the reviews, but here's a heads up anyway
smile.gif

I've actually read no reviews but played the Demo quite a lot, the fact it was like Morrowind in space (in the way its open ended) was what made me check out the demo and I the mouse control is perfect, on the other hand I can't say I'm enjoying Independance War 2, I'm just not liking the controls they feel a little unresponsive and usless for when I get in a dog fight, however I have only just started so it may be down to having a crap unupgraded ship
biggrin.gif

I bought only "new" games for Dreamcast (1.99 € each
biggrin.gif
):

- F355

- Fighting Force 2

- Evolution

IWAR 2 is supposed to be a hardcore "space flight sim". Apparently they added real physics to the game engine, hence the reason why ship control seems funky in comparison to something like Wing Commander. The closest comparison IMO is Falcon 4.0 in space. If you're into those kind of games, they're kewl. If not...
