Xmas Nights

The ISO is in BIN+CUE format....when I load it into Fireburner I get this...

Thread1: Executing

Thread1: Reading Disc Info

Thread1: Setting Write Parameters

Thread1: Error setting write parameters

Recording aborted due to error

What write parameters is it talking about? If I use CDRWin, it says...

ERROR: 'START DAO RECORDING' command failed on device. Cuesheet was rejected by the recorder.

Any help?

I'm using an HP cd-writer 9300 series. It supports DAO...

Well...I just won this game at auction for $10.45 and that includes shipping! Pretty good deal, huh? Anyways, I would still like to get this problem solved if for no other reason than to learn how it's done.

try specificing tao/track at once recording instead of dao recording, thats similar to the error i get with my writer when trying to use fireburner with dao mode, although it works fine with tao

No...I didn't try to use dao recording. It just seems to want to do that and will then give me the dao error...wierd.

The only programs I've had any luck in burning mixed mode cd's is in NERO and DiskJuggler. Hmmm, Is there a way to convert bin+cue to CDI or NRG? That would solve all my problems. :)

Finally! Finally burned a game in dual mode using Fireburner. I used Sega Worldwide Soccer (good game) with mode 1 and mode 2 tracks. The cue file that came with the files listed both tracks as 2352.

Using Fireberner, I rewrote the cue file for wav files and then loaded it into Fireburner. I burned it in DAO mode (It was the ONLY mode that wouldn't give me some kind of error) without problems. Interesting thing is that Fireburner converted all the files (data and audio) from 2352 to 2448...I don't know if that's normal or not, I just know that the game works perfectly!

I want to try with another dual mode disk to see if I truely got it beat...anybody got Last Bronx?

yup, I got an original. It's pretty ez to find, I got mine for $7 at my local funcoland, but I'll still rip it for oyu

Thanks Zero 9...unfortunaetly, the few stores that sell classic software have a terrible selection. I'd really appreciate it!

The problem with Alien Trilogy (as Arakon stated in that thread) was a different problem. I'd like to get a copy of it...could you up it to one of the FTP's here? Could you also post the CUE file...I'd like to see it.
