Well, most likely it will run. I kinda doubt there will be a huge speed increase, since the SH-2 platform is not a matter of great consern nowadays. These performance increases we are mentioning however, are rated at maximum 10% ... that's not enough for this case. I'm considering modifing the current CPU core and start replacing instructions with inline assembly equivalents sometime soon... Unless someone beats me to it
