Am I doing something wrong trying to use the new Shinobi-X 60Hz Patch & Debug Mode patch?

I used the patch for the US version of the game with no problems. But I tried patching the European version of the game 3 times and the game just kicks back to the system cd player each time. Anybody used this patch successfully?

EDIT: Never mind I got it working, seems Launchbox or RetroArch didn't like the filename I was using or something.
