I'd like to thank you all!
Thank you all, segaxtreme forummembers! :thumbs-up:
Thanks to you (and especially this thread) I got my modchip working on a PAL V1 Saturn!
It looks exactly the same as this one (from gogou):
I have some soldering experience, but mostly with audio-cables, but after I succeeded in adding Jap/US/Eur and 50Hz/60Hz switches (which was really hard finding the correct jumpers on this particular model) I felt confident and ordered a modchip from here: http://www.angelfire.com/pa/Raluminat/forsale.html
Here are some highres pics of my modded modchip:
To my surprise, it worked at the first try!
Only downside is that because of the position of the modchip (far left on the motherboard with the component-side facing outward) the 20-pin CD-cable is barely long enough.
Is there a place in Europe where they sell these type of cables?
Anyhow, the Saturn will make a nice addition to the Dreamcast and PS2 in my converted Arcade cab
Now if you don't mind, I'm off to play some Radiant Silvergun...
