Metal Black & Gun Frontier cue fix :)

Metal Black & Gun Frontier cue fix :)

First of all folks, make sure you don't have these two games

that were uploaded by "Matze" - very bad dump and these cue files won't work on those. How do you know if you have this bad dump? If you got it from Ralos, it's bad. The folder will have "uploaded by Matze" txt file in it. But the best check is playing the audio tracks individually - there should be no "2 seconds of blank space" before each track plays.

Also i noticed with Matze's bad tracks, each audio track except the first one would begin with a split second of audio from a previous track! To put it simply, each track should begin immediately. I use Cool Edit to zoom in and check the start of each track.

Come to think of it, you could edit the bad tracks, but that would require knowing the length of each track, and the correct miliseconds of space before and after each track, which is a bigger job than simply dl'ing the correct tracks.

Anyhoo, what you wanna do is this:

have sega cuemaker produce a cue sheet, and for both games you must manually open the cue and erase the entire "Post gap" line the cuemaker wrote for the data track.

Secondly, Metal Black's first audio track has a pregap of 2 seconds, while Gun Frontier's 1st audio track's pregap is exactly 1:20. Here are examples of both:

FILE "mb T01 Mode1 2352.iso" BINARY

TRACK 01 MODE1/2352

INDEX 01 00:00:00

FILE "02-AudioTrack 02.wav" WAVE

TRACK 02 AUDIO

PREGAP 00:02:00

INDEX 01 00:00:00

FILE "03-AudioTrack 03.wav" WAVE

TRACK 03 AUDIO

INDEX 01 00:00:00

and

FILE "gunfront.iso" BINARY

TRACK 01 MODE1/2352

INDEX 01 00:00:00

FILE "Track-02.wav" WAVE

TRACK 02 AUDIO

PREGAP 00:01:20

INDEX 01 00:00:00

FILE "Track-03.wav" WAVE

TRACK 03 AUDIO

INDEX 01 00:00:00

the rest of the tracks for both are standard format, and should look like track 3(no pregap, index 1 00:00:00).

Happy Gaming

If you haven't done so, you should upload these 2 cue sheets to Ralos' FTP with an NFO file explaining the fixes.
