You didn't break any rules.

There are currently no saturn emulators that can play full games at a playable speed. You will have to buy a new saturn. The emulators are not advanced enough to play games the way you'd like.

I don't agree : Fabien did a hell of a job with Satourne, and you can play some games at full speed ...

Here's the link : satourne.consollection.com , you can also browse the SEGA emulation section on the left 😉

Sorry, but I have no solution for that.

I've tried everything: triple-checked the plugin configurations, tried 5 different ASPI drivers, tried both original and CDR games, to no avail. I even tried booting from a virtual drive, without success.

Satourne will display the correct game name in the emulator window when the disc is inserted, my CD drive access light goes on during booting, but somewhere down the road something goes wrong and it jumps to the BIOS screen with the "checking disc format" message, and it never stops checking the disc.

Anyone got any clues? I'm on Windows2000.

Does it show the "S" picture when it goes back to the cd-player ? Sometimes it happens on games, and by pressing this icon you can start the game ...

I didn't play Panzer Dragoon Zwei, but Panzer Dragoon is almost perfect on my computer (just RBG backgrounds missing)

No, it doesn't shows the S. It keeps checking the CD, and never ever decides if it's a Saturn CD or not.

I found a way to make the "start game" buttom to appear, by starting the emulation without any disc, waiting the CD player screen to come up, and thengoing to the CD Block config screen and inserting the disc.

But after I pressed the S buttom, screen went black for a seconds and it went back into CD player again, and could not identify the disc.

I tried Panzer Dragoon, with both CD block plugins, with the same results...

Blue_Dragon: what's the problem with your Saturn? Maybe it's just a minor problem, would be a shame of a Saturn just to give up on it so fast 🙂

Ok here's my config for this game :

Satourne 1.1P

CDBlock 1.0B

SH2 Interpreter 1.3

SCSP_a68k_v1.0

Default for the others plug-ins.

My Saturn is now fixed.Amd i have 2. 😎

But my question is:

Here in Portugal, Sega saturn games and any acessories have disapeard,i i want to buy new games, but i only found (USA) formats.

My Saturn is PAL.. did it run (USA) formats?Or copy games?

I have many games, a big colection, but many games don´t come to Europe...for me Sega Saturn still alive ( I have PSX, PS2 , GbAdvance , Mega Drive N-GAGE and Sega Saturn)and this one is fabulous.

I wanna to play (usa/jap) games that dont´s come out to Europe.Did i need a chip or something to swap?

Did that, it goes to the CD player, and the S buttom is enabled. Pressing it loops the emulator back into the CD player, after a quick CD read. S buttom remains enabled.

What WNASPI32 are you using?

Also, I got two HDDs, so my CD drive is actually E: not D:. Could some internal part of Satourne not be ready for this? Later I'll try turning off the D: and see what happens.

I'm under WinXp, and my wnaspi32.dll is 44KB (10/09/1999)

Satourne doesn't have any pb regarding the cdrom drive you choose, either D: or E: should work ...

If you want to play games not meant for the PAL region, you will either need to either get a cart (AR etc) for your sega saturn or you will need to rip the game to your computer, then burn it using a special technique which allows it to be changed from USA or JAP to Europe
