Sega Saturn Patcher

Sega Saturn Patcher Discussion Thread 1.91 BETA

@Knight0fDragon could I please include version 1.95 from the Grandia translation with my upcoming J.B. Harold translation? It's the only version that properly patches the most recent builds.

I have .NET runtime installed, but it won't work on the program. I even tried reinstalling and it will only allow me to repair or uninstall. I tried repair... Doesn't work...
"Microsoft ASP.NET Core 5.0.17
Shared Framework
Modify Setup

[Repair] [Uninstall] [Close]
"

It keeps asking for .NET:
"To run this application, you must install .NET. Would you like to download it now?"

Can you share the program source code so I can recompile it myself?
Or can you recompile the program to work better?

Well,

1) That is rude
2) You are hitting an issue with Microsoft's handling of how they check for .NET code, so no amount of recompilation will fix it.
3) Read the ReadMe.txt file

Hello,
i'm trying to run panzer dragoon saga (usa) with mednafen.
So the game works fine but when i try to enable cheats it show only a black screen. It doesnt even show the saturn logo.
Any idea how to fix it?
Thanks!

Can you please recompile a copy as x86 / 32-bit?

I really want to use it, but I have Windows 7 / 32-bit, and no money to upgrade.

Doesn't work that way. The current public versions cannot run on 32-bit platforms due to it needing 2GB of contiguous memory all of the time. New public version will not be available until it can pass my unit tests for all games.

Windows keys can be purchased for a few dollars on eBay if your machine is a 64-bit machine with a 32-bit processor.

Install .NET Desktop Runtime 5.0.17 - https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet/5.0

you don't need to uninstall anything.

Type the command in the picture below, and check you have the highlighted runtime

Even though i've installed .Net 5.0 3 times since it still doesn't show only the 8.0 version, i've no idea where the hell 5.0 went to, *shrug* :meh:

Hello there =]
A quick report on my way, after an attempt to patch Albert Odyssey (CUE+BINs), using the version available for download (1.9.7872.1316):
- The musics from the audio tracks are played too early|late ingame, most probably a consequence of one|all of the following:
- The audio track indexes in the output .cue aren't the same as in the input.
- The audio track files are obviously altered, cause their sizes change.
- Somehow, an additional audio track is generated, even if just the data track was patched.
The fact that Albert Odyssey uses unusual gaps (2.02 seconds on some specific tracks - US versions only) is most likely involved.
Sorry in advance if those are known issues.

EDIT:
1.95.8035.20705 seems to solve the main issue, at least the musics from the audio tracks seem to be correctly played ingame.
Also, no extra track generated, though the indexes in the .cue are still altered, as well as the audio track files themselves.

FWIW, I noticed the same issue with a patch that I'm working on. I reverted to 1.95.8035.20705 and that did fix the issue. The right number of tracks are generated. With 1.97, when I pulled up the cue sheets in Notepad++, the INDEX 01/02 were quite off. That's not the case using 1.95.8035.20705.
