Saturn Not Booting CD's

I just got a saturn and when I put in a game or audio cd it spins fine then goes into the menu saying checking disc format then nothing it does the same thing with no cd inserted whats going on?

I think the problem is in the mother board, maybe it is already defective. Where did you get your saturn anyway?

TRY THIS: Open up your saturn and look under the laser assembly board, you will see an orange pot or potentiometer, turn it 5mm clockwise I think this will do the trick, goodluck!!

Still nothing... I got it from usedgames.com still have a warranty on it so i guess im going to ship it back the guy at usedgames told me it was working before he shipped it =(

Your laser could be dirty...and I wouldn't tell him u messed w/ the calibrator either....if sumone bought a Sat from me and messed it I wouldn't give em a refund.
