I stopped working on this side project a while back and I'll be getting back to it in the next few weeks/months.

For now, it's all open source: https://github.com/ijacquez/SMT-DS-SH

Here's what has been worked on so far:
  1. In-game text has been extracted
  2. Font has been extracted
  3. Documentation for in-battle text
I just wrote a small tool to get VWF to work (extracting the glyph and kerning info).

In-game, battle, and possibly some other random places like inputting a name. That would probably be the toughest.

It's going to be tough...

Thanks guys. The unfortunate thing is that I'm still combing through all the functions that decodes the raw text. I've been talking to Gemini who is responsible for the PlayStation port and he's had a bit of trouble with getting VW support in.

The example that I put up takes a group of 8-BPP tiles and treats it as a large bitmap (see set_pixel_8()) which is very unwise.
