I've been playing Syndicate on one of the Macs at work.

Even 10 years on it's an awesome game. :)

Syndicate was fun - I was first acquainted with it on the SNES, and it left many fond memories. Well, actually, I first saw Syndicate Plus for PC around the time it was released, but barely played it - the SNES version i've played quite a lot though :) I've played the 3DO version also, but that was nothing like the SNES version - perhaps it's a port of the PC version (or vise-versa)? I didn't like it that much...

Ahh, Syndicate nostalgia!

Oh, yeah - the topic  Played 2 matches of Worms (Saturn) today, and won both (against 2 teams). Booyah! Still gotta get better at grenades and bazookas (with wind) - the computer is the biggest show off! :p :p

Ah yes, Syndicate is great. I find the Mac version nearly unplayable with a 1-button mouse, though. Also, it runs choppy on my machine for some reason (it's a 240mhz G3, so you'd think it would run just fine).

Syndicate Wars is a good game as well... I'd love to see another sequel, but Molyneux needs to get his act together first.

I'm replaying stupid, stupid Ninja Gaiden on Very Hard.

Stupid, stupid game. Why can't I stop playing it? This is my sixth time for the love of God! And I'm stuck on the last Fiend Challenge, the one near the bridge. I managed to get up to 99 fiends before dying. :rant

I actually prefer the one button mouse.

I find it's easier to click one mouse button and press a key than to press both mouse buttons at once. *shrug*

It runs choppy on a G3? that's really odd because I was playing it on a 200MHz 604 and it ran fine. Well, maybe it ran a little slow on the Atlantic Accelerator when you get rushed by dozens of enemy agents...

Playing Coker's Bad Fur Day and Zelda: Majora's Mask (both of which I never played properly before).

Both are being awesome. There's some good humour in Conker, behind all the overbloated teenage-y goryness and scatology.

And I really didn't know MM. I didn't know it was THAT different than OOT. It is awesome to not be the center of the world: I love the fact the world and characters have more deep to them, everything feels more convincing and alive. And it's freakin' HARD I tell ya! 'Tis a game that will not grab your hand and take you for a walk. Even saving is harder now! I like a good challenege every once and then.

Coker's Bad Fur Day.. heh

Just got through playing Exile. Good game, a bit too short and easy, though. It's funny, some of the dungeons have what sounds like hardcore rave music. Maybe I'll give it a writeup over in the Genesis section.

edit - oh yeah, played through Thunderforce III for the umpteenth billion time as well. Man, that is a great game. This time I finished with sixteen lives left.. I really have to try to beat that game on mania mode one of these days, but it's just too fun to blow through it on normal.. only takes about 10-20 minutes.

I played the RE4 demo for hours upon hours tonight, I will continue to do so, until I get the full game come January 11, 2005.

Finally someone else who appreciates the more convincing atmosphere and attachment you feel to the town in Majora's Mask. And it is a little harder than MM, but its still not that tough. I should go back and play it again. i dont think i've ever even beat it a second time...

Finally summoned up the persistency to play the original Metroid seriously. Now I'm stuck at the first boss. The only thing I hate about dying at bosses is not knowing how many more hits they would have took to die :p

Edit: Passed the first boss, and am looking desperately for the other .. you guys won't believe how hard this game is! It is much harder than ghost & goblins or the sequel! Lucky for me, this game has unlimited continues :p And thank god for that - it would be a nightmare to pass without dying!

Most of the difficulty comes from experimenting with different attack methods, learning various in-game skills (mostly with bombs and jumps ;)) and not knowing where the bosses are :p

Edit2: Done and done :) First time I've had to face a metroid - pretty fearsome little bloodsuckers they are :devil Now, a little break, then....

...onwards with Metroid II! :devil

I've been playing lots o games lately:

I'm currently playing SMT: Digital Devil Saga. It's decent, but not as engaging as Nocturne, simply because the excellent story sequences are too sparse. The long dungeon crawling sections always leave me exhausted, but then I am treated to a story sequence that instantly has me intrigued again. I hear it's totally worth playing the game because it's sets you up for Digital Devil Saga 2 which is supposed to be even better than this and Nocturne.

Other games I've played include God of War and Jade Empire. I suffered all the way through to the end of God of War tonight, but Jade Empire I'm never touching again--it is without a doubt the blandest, most dumbed-down, shallow RPG, I've ever played. It is really horrible.

I've been playing Marathon 2 (Win 95 version).

I've also tried out PSO, but I'm too much of a n00b to get very far!

Playing Outlaw Volleyball again. This really is a great game. Their advertising efferts were sleezy, but the plays great and is a nice challenge, great graphics, etc.
