@bbayles posts on Ejihon Detective Agency made me curious to peek at the game files for the Game-Ware Vol. 1-5, and I managed to make self-bootable versions of most of the included mini-games.
This is a patch for Game-Ware Vol. 1 that makes it boot straight into a shootemup minigame called Telecom Town II (seems a better game than Telecom Town I).
(Note: While Telecom Town II is included on Game-Ware Vol. 2 I could not rebuild the image for Vol. 2 without errors, so this patch targets the Vol.1 disc image instead)
This patch simply replaces 0STARTUP.PRG with TELE.PRG from Game-Ware Vol. 2, and patches the directory TELECOM from Vol. 2 to the disc as well. This allows you to skip past the Game-Ware ads and begin playing Telecom Town II immediately.
Apply the patch with Sega Saturn Patcher:
