I suddenly want an XBox

I think they should have a new warning on cigarettes, something more effective. Like for instance:

"Warning: Anything you light on fire and stick in your mouth is GOING to kill you."

I think by now, everyone already knows that smoking is bad. As dennis leary put it:

You could just call ciggerettes tumors and people would still be smoking them like there's no tomorrow. "Jesus christ, I love thes tumors! I hope a get a tumor just from smoking one right now!"

you could have ciggarettes that were called warnings, you could have ciggarettes that came in a black pack, with a skull and a crossbones, called tumors, and smokers'd be lined up around the block going "cant wait to get my hands on these babies, ill bet youll het a tumor as soon as you light up"

Yeah but the 15.4% suicide rate is only .2% above that of a sugar pill. You see, it's the warning that makes you do it! o_O The power of suggestion!

I once had to take a medicine that said "May cause suicidal intent and suicide."

OMG are you serious [/b][/quote]

Really, it was a very powerful toxine.

Because you know if they didn't have that on there someone in the US would do it and sue MS. Just like the "do not use in the shower" warning labels on hairdryers.

where is IGN saying it fake? and what's their reason for saying it's fake?

Another New Xbox

Clear, with a 20GB hard drive? Pics included.

January 28, 2004 - Rumors circulating around the 'Net say that Microsoft Europe is set to release a new limited edition, "Crystal" Xbox. The new, clear unit is said to be identical to the current model, except that it has a 20GB hard drive, double the current capacity. The photos in the media page show a new box package, the console, and the transparent white controllers.

Is it real? We contacted Microsoft for an official comment, but did not receive one in time for publish. What do we think? We here at IGN think it's completely bogus. The box package and controllers look decent, but at the same time have a fake quality about them. This could be because the pictures are artist's rendition, but we doubt it.

As for the console itself, the image is, um, clearly a photo of a see-through Xbox. That means it must be real, right? Not exactly. See, development Xbox consoles are the very same color - clear white. The image could easily be a Photoshopped image of a development kit.

The other telling piece of information is the 20GB hard drive. Considering that Microsoft loses so much money on the console as is, and the fact that most of us have yet to fill the current hard drive to capacity, there's no point in having an upgraded hard drive. None at all.

Ultimately, we don't really know if it's fake or real until we hear back from the big M itself. Take a look at the photos yourself and tell us what you think. Cheers.

It's entirely plausible that MS would use 20GB drives if they are cheaper/more available, but they would almost certainly only be partitioned with 8GB, just like the Xbox units with 10GB hard drives.

ya, I could see 20gig hdd's being just as cheap to them as sum 8gig ones. They have shipped sum xboxs' w/ 20gig hdds already. Not a lot, but sum have been made before.

actually you're wrong. dev kits are clear, the debugging systems (ie ones they use to review games) are clear green.

Dyne is right on the Xbox color thing.

Regarding the Xbox's 20GB hard drive, most of the newer Xbox systems already have a 20GB HDD instead of the older 8GB, but, like ExCyber stated, only 8GB of this 20 are partitioned. As many already said, 20GB HDDs are cheaper than 8GB ones, why? Demand.

Anyway, it's easy to create another partiition and make use of it.
