Neo Geo Pocket Color

I can't believe my recent good fortune! A friend who works at EB sold me a NGPC he had stashed away in the back of the storeroom for 20 bucks! Brand new!

Anways, I know that there was indeed a link cable to connect to the DC but what exactly does it do? My friend did mention about swapping charecters in and out of KOF 99 or something like that. Does the DC allow full screen play of the games?

uh, not the way you are talking about. (not with the cable)

you can get the neogeo pocket emu for dreamcast and burn a cd of it, after LEGALLY DUMPING THE ROMS YOURSELF ^_^

from gamefaqs.com

The Neo Geo Pocket Color, produced by SNK, has the unique

ability to link-up with a home console system, in this case,

the Sega Dreamcast. This allows programmers producing for

both systems to add extra goodies for those who support their

games.

This guide covers:

- King of Fighters: Dream Match '99 (Dreamcast)

- King of Fighters R-2 (Neo Geo Pocket Color)

- SNK Vs. Capcom: Match of the Milennium (Neo Geo Pocket Color)

- Capcom Vs. SNK (forthcoming Dreamcast title)

- King of Fighters '99: Evolution (Dreamcast)

- King of Fighters: Battle de Paradise (Neo Geo Pocket Color)

hmmm... where the heck would I find a cable to go from my NeoGeo Pocket [which I also snagged at an EB for about $20] to my Sega Dreamcast? Both have different sized data ports. Is there a program to facillitate the swap of info or does it work on the game option menu level?

ok so I read both FAQ's and answered my own questions... Does anyone know where to find the NGP-DC link canble this late in the game?

You're right. A good Google search brought me to GamesTech, which listed it for US$24 (still a little bit more than the system, but what the #### :p):

Hmmmmmm?!? Is possible the listing for that controller is an error? I've never seen a dc controller like that. I have 2 of the Saturn analog controllers like it. I guess to be sure you'd have to see the plug end of the wire. Or could this be a controller for the sports addition of the dc? It was in black, I believe.
