Saturn CD Burning Issues

Just got myself a Saturn. Been wanting one for years. Since games are pretty steep, I bought myself a Pseudo Saturn, and some Verbatim CD-R's. It arrived, and I began burning. I made sure to use a good rom website, and made sure that it was in the correct format. I burned at my CD-Drives lowest speed using AnyBurn. Pooped it in, and for the most part, it seemed fine. The game ran fine, and the FMV's worked great. Sadly, the audio was messed up. Any CD audio would play for a bit, before starting to stutter. It would then stop, my Saturn would make some scary noises, and would then continue. Everything else worked great, just not CD audio. What's going on here? Help would be sick!

This is what I've discovered a few years back when I used to burn CD-Rs myself:
  • TDK
  • Kodak

Those two brands worked fine on the Saturn with TDK being the best option, but this was not the case with other systems. It can be tricky to find certain brands sometimes, but my honest advice for you is to get one of the following ODE (Optical Drive Emulator) solutions:

TerraOnion MODE - Only if you're OK with removing the disc array outright! €569
SAROO - Fits in the Cartridge slot & is an Open-Source project that's fairly new, meaning that you can keep your drive $70
Satiator - Plugs into the MPEG expansion slot at the back of the console $199.99

I can only vouch for the TerraOnion MODE which is honestly a beast when it comes to storage options as it supports SSD, microSD, and USB Type-A drives!
