Saturn Widescreen Codes & Patches

Here's a collection of anamorphic widescreen patches and Action Replay codes created by @Esppiral and @paul_met that were originally posted to threads on Assembler Games and SegaXtreme, along with new codes and patches which I made to fill some of the gaps in the regional releases. Many of these codes are available in Pseudo Saturn Kai v6.545 and the rest will be added to the next version.

Patch instructions :

Open the disc image in CDmage.
In the Image tree in the left panel, left-click on Track 1
In the file list in the right panel, right-click on the file that matches the game file from the patch folder (e.g. 0.BIN) and select Import File...
Browse to the patch folder and select the patched file (e.g. 0.BIN)
File imported successfully prompt should appear (*), click the OK button.
If the patch folder contains multiple files, repeat steps 3 to 5 for the rest of the files.
The patch has now been applied and is ready to play!

(*) If an error message appears, select Cancel and repeat steps 3 to 5, making sure that in :

step 1, the correct disc image is opened.
step 3, the correct game file is selected.
step 4, the correct patched file is selected.

Is there a difference with the patches on this link vs the ones listed here on this thread? Or are they the same patch files?

No difference, all of the cloud.mail.ru links are from paul_met's site.

I am noticing on some games (Zero Divide and some screens on Dead or Alive) have background images sliced up and overlapped, is this expected?

Zero Divide patch works correctly in Mednafen v1.32.1 but not on real hardware, so I've added a "real hardware" patch that doesn't adjust the aspect ratio of the background. Thanks for reporting :)

Dead or Alive is similar, the patch works fine in Mednafen but certain things like the intro FMV, main menu, and "NEXT MATCH" screens have sliced graphics on real hardware. I can't see any problems in the actual stages, though.

Awesome! I will update my Zero Divide with this. For Dead or Alive you are right, no issue with the actual gameplay it seems.

I’m sorry for not having knowledge in coding but would love to try out some of your guys work. Congratulations!

Can some explain how I can use these codes? I use the Saroo to play the Saturn games.

My Fiancé and I just Beat Blazing Dragons, we plan on doing Disc World and Enemy Zero next on our Hi-Saturn w/OSSC Pro. We love playing these games together.

Saroo doesn't support cheat codes that continuously write to RAM (as of firmware v0.7) so you should apply the patches to disc images by following the instructions in the main post.

Updated patch for Virtual-On NetLink Edition to add widescreen support to the online versus mode, as demonstrated by @Double Dime and @Shadowmask in the XBand / SegaNet version :)

Hi, I tried patching Panzer Dragoon 1 NTSC U and running the image on various emulators (Kronos, Mednafen, Yabause) and they all get stuck at the Sega logo after the BIOS screen. Can anyone please confirm if this is expected/if there's a setting I need to change?

EDIT: Fixed it, I accidentally used the Panzer Dragoon Saga patch instead of the Panzer Dragoon one!
