Saturnin WIP thread

After some work on the smpc, the games that weren't working because of the start button not being detected are now :)

Well, not all of them, but Puyo Puyo Sun is now playable, Sasisu and Colums 97 are "controlable", and Radiant Silvergun + the Cotton games are starting (black screen after that)

Next step will be to add the memory card, and to improve the cdblock compatibility ;)
 
Cdblock and smpc timings are giving me hard times, but it's slowly progressing ...

I just corrected a major bug in the cd-block, resulting in a huge compatibility increase :D

I just tested a few games, but expect more screenshots soon ;)

OpenGL right now.

But I would give Direct3D a shot later ;)

once again, Runik = god!. Love what you're doing here Runik. EVentaully, will we be able to select the resolution of the game, how we do w/ PC games to make the image quality better?

I'm thinking of it, but it won't happen soon ... it's rather low priority in my todo list ;) There are a lot of things to do before that, like increasing the speed ...
 
Oh, for sure. I was just wondering if it'd be possable and how much better it'd make the game look. I would rather have better compatibility/speed beforehand though. Keep up the good work!
 
Excellent progress! Because I aint that technical, what is it that you do to that makes games running better and better? Adding compatibility code?

It's definitely possible, as Fabien does it in Satourne

A game running at 1024*768 intead of 320*224 and having FSAA would be great to look at
