Yes, it's the Xbox version. I'm not cool enough to own the Neo Geo version. tongue.gif
And admittedly, I'm a Metal Slug n00b. I'd start playing the arcade versions with five dollars in my pocket and stop when I was broke. I never concentrated on one game for long enough to get any good, so having a home version is excellent.
I'm quite confident that the Final Mission will have me crying like a little girl, but for now I'm concentrating on Mission Four. The opening part in the desert is kicking my ass.
Well, the Xbox version actually forces you to get good, unlike the Neo version which gives you five credits to continue on the spot. Beating the MS3 on five credits can still be a pretty decent challenge, but it's not all that hard... and with the Neo you have a real controller in your hands.
Speaking of credits.. I usually have three or four left by the time I get to the final mission, which then eats the rest. It's easily the longest mission in any MS game... in fact, it's almost as long as all the others put together. Good luck when you get there.
I just got Megaman Anniversary collection and Zelda 4 swords on GC... megaman the shit, but that fuckin' zelda game BLOWS
Yeah, MMAC rocks.. I blew through all the games in a week, although MM7 took me a while to beat (cheap final Wily, and it's easily my least favorite game in the regular series). I just wish they had included the remixed tracks on the GC version, not to mention displaying the game in true lo-res mode. Is Four Swords really that bad though? I can't imagine a Zelda game being too bad.. I assume you're playing it single player? I avoided buying it because I don't have all the stuff needed for multi.
Since we're talking about our recent purchases, I'll go ahead and rate the ones I just got (first impressions anyway):
Ninja Five-O: Again, awesome.. what can I say, this game is great. It's like the original Shinobi with more moves and a little Bionic Commando mixed in.
Super Monkey Ball 2: what a great game... I could see myself playing this forever, especially with all the excellent minigames thrown into the mix.
X-Men Legends: Seems pretty fun so far. Framerate can get a little choppy, but it's really cool to be able to create your own X-teams and go to work on the baddies. Diablo-like skill system is pretty nice.
Worms Armageddon - a decent conversion. Actually, it's pretty good in all, but the fact that you can't customize your Worms' voices per team sucks. Also, it's missing a bunch of options that the PC version has (I have a very specific group of settings that I use on the PC version).
Typing of the Dead: Heh, what a good purchase. I played a little bit and found it really easy, but I'm a good typist. I think my girlfriend will like this one.
Pinball Dreams: Dunno, got the cart from EB and it looks like someone's dog peed on it. Those bastards. I'll have to return it, I think.
