Gameplay Video Archive Project Underway

Some of you may have read about the Gameplay Video Archive in the forums before.

Now, the project is getting ready to start up.

For basic information and a place to discuss the project, I set up a small message board.

If Ice is willing to have a separate board section on SX for the project that would be cool too 😉 Unfortuanately, the board has ads and popups 🙁

Anyway, Gaz_2_k has already started working on it and I have my new Matrox 400TV card coming in the mail soon.

If anybody else is interested in helping, please let me know.

We're mainly looking for some fairly high-rez MPEG files of actual Sega gameplay.

Like I said, check my board for more details

I got my video card in yesterday and am testing it out on my in-laws' PIII machine until I get my new box built.

Still trying to work out the problems with getting smooth video.

It's very cool too see my Saturn playing on a PC though (without emulation)

The 2D acceleration from Matrox is splendid too 🙂

We have a few members at the GVA board. Would like to see some more action 😀

It seems good, but I think the PIII machine I'm running it on needs a little more speed -- probably a faster hard drive.

Other than that it seems good. I'm still playing around with it though
