UK Games Magazines in Driv3r 9/10 shocker!

They're getting a grilling on their own forums at the minute with a guy that works for "a UK Magazine" even coming out of the woodwork making strong hints that the PSM2 and XBW reviews were fixed, as suspected. Here:

is the grilling they're recieving on their own forums. I suggest you read through it (especially page 8 onwards) it makes for interesting reading.

I don't buy game magazines to find out what games are good to buy for 3 reasons.:

1.) I don't have any this-gen consoles.

2.) I'm not paying a cent to hear about what game is the best thing since sliced bread.

3.) I can rent this-gen games if I want.

Things like this have gone on in this industry, as well as others, for many years. Its is sad, but journalistic integrity is thrown away by publishers frequently. Some movies when will not invite the press to any screening. So there are no reviews until after the movie opens.

I only ordered N Power to get the free LoZ bonus disc. Otherwise, I only buy game magazines for a demo disc (PC Mag's)

I only get gaming mags for free and even then I usually skim them unless they have some cool feature.

Most of the stuff is old news compared to online news.

But they are nice to keep me occupied as I eat my lunch

I only ever got the Official Dreamcast magazine, the reviews seemed reliable. But I got it mainly for the Demos, news* and features.

*I didn't really like browsing gaming sites on my DC with it's 33k modem. :p
