Tricolore Crise English Patch v0.9.0-alpha is now available. This is a public playtest release for the Dreamcast game Tricolore Crise. The complete event script is translated: 11,224 unique strings covering 14,995 locations on disc, along with major system text and all identified battle UI strings. The patch is distributed as BPS only—no game files—and is ready for broad playtesting. Resource 'Steamgear mash (English + 3dPad V1.0)'
This release translates Steamgear Mash into English and adds native support for the Sega 3D Control Pad. For the best experience in 3D analog mode, I recommend using Control Type 1 in the options menu. The 3D-pad technique was inspired by the Touge King the Spirits 3D Pad patch created by SEGA RPG FAN (Thanks!). Resource 'Waialae no Kiseki - Extra 36 Holes (English V1.0)'
Waialae no Kiseki ("Miracle of Waialae") is a semi-sequel to Pebble Beach Golf Links, minus Craig Stadler. While an N64 version exists, the Saturn release is unique for its flyover cutscenes and Japanese voiceovers. I've found a 1-byte switch (0x48 to 0x54) in the boot dispatcher that enables a latent English mode already present on the disc, effectively giving us the "Pebble Beach 2" we never got in the West.
